I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with national certification, licensed in Maine since 1998. Over the years I have worked with people both privately and within organizations, individually and in groups.
Many of the people I have worked with have been in the midst of some disruption in their lives. We all face these speed bumps in life, and I believe there is value in the difficulties life may throw in our paths. How we view our struggles, how we process them and learn from them makes all the difference in how well we move forward in life.
“Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls;
the most massive characters are seared with scars.”
As an educator I have offered trainings on career change; Myers-Briggs Type Indicator; ongoing loss and dementia; coping with anxiety; the emotional rollercoaster of caregiving; managing compassion fatigue. I have facilitated support groups and trainings for people caring for someone who is experiencing issues related to chronic illness, aging, end of life, and Alzheimer’s or a related dementia.
In addition to my counseling practice, I am a faculty member for the Online Gerontology Certificate program at the University of Southern Maine (USM Certificate).
